Welcome 2025
Dear Friends,
I wanted to let you all know I am working on leaving Instagram and Facebook, both Meta-owned social media platforms. It was not an easy descision, as both platforms have become so ingrained in our cultural framework, but I feel the time has come to move forward. I do not have an exact timeline for my exit of these sites, but I should be winding down my presence by the end of February.
Going forward, my website will be the best source of information about our event schedule and other news. Nothing will be changing here! Infact, it will only get more exciting—I plan to start utlizing my personal platform more to write about my fiber arts (knitting, spinning, wool processing), writing more about my experiments in canning/preserving and dehyrating various foodstuffs, as well as my experiments in the world of home-milled grains/flours, and sharing my recipes with you all.
I will also be sending out newsletter once in a while. These cost money every time I send them, so I don’t take sending them out lightly. I usually send out newsletters a few times during the holiday craft and show season, to remind you of our events and to send out a little discount code as our gift to you. You can sign up easily by clicking here.
For smaller day-to-day updates, I am trying out BlueSky. BlueSky is a social media platform that allows users to share short posts, images and videos, but it has a focus on giving users more choice and control over their experience. So far, I have found it a welcoming and enjoyable platform. My handle there is currently @woolenwaves.com
Thank you so much for your continued support. I hope that 2025 brings us many happy days of creating, learning, and growing. All the best,
